A short video and large format images for this unsual view of a strategic node of the city. Two different layers, two different speeds. The railway station, a space that is both in motion and static at the same time, is trapped in the city, where trains rhythmically mark the passing of time, with a slow, obsessive chanting. It is a constant rhythm, almost a breath, that takes in and puts out, loads and unloads, indifferent to the frenzy of everything around it. The photographs trace its bounderies and structure, while the moving images unveil the relationship between physical space and the long processions that runs through it. Just like the relationships between people, passengers or simple passers-by, with their gestures, movements, expectations, “inhabit” what is nothing but a transitional place, a crossing.
